Aditi, a 6-Year-Old Girl Found Dead at Dibbalapalem Beach

The six-year-old girl, Aditi who was washed away over a week ago after falling into an open stormwater drain in Visakhapatnam, found dead at Dibbalapalem Beach Vishakapatnam. According to the reports, the body of Adithi, a Class 1 student, was spotted near a beach at Dibbalapalem in Bhogapuram Mandal  about 65km from the port city.

Aditi was missing since 24th September 2015. One of the witness said that ” she just finished with her tuition and was about to get into the car that had come to pick her up when she slipped and fell into a drain. She fell through a one and a half feet gap in a cement slab”. He also said that “she could not see the drain as the road was flooded after the  heavy rain”.

Bhogapuram Mandal Revenue Officer Lakshma Reddy said that “the body was identified by Adithi’s father Srinivas with the help of earrings and clothes his daughter was wearing. The body was in decomposed state and has been sent to King George Hospital in Visakhapatnam for post-mortem”. By seeing the body her father, Srinivas collapsed. He thought that her daughter would had been kidnaped and also met AP CM Chandrababu Naidu to identify her daughter.

Aditi is staying with her grandfather in the port city while her parents who were both software engineers, live in Bengaluru. The Navy had deployed two helicopters and as many ships to search and rescue the girl.
