
Another IIT Madras B.Tech Final Year Student Commits Suicide in Hostel
Unfortunately is being reported that another IIT Madras B.Tech student from Kerala has committed suicide. A final year B.Tech (Electrical Engineering) student Rahul G. Prasad at IIT-Madras was found hanging to the ceiling in his hostel during the early hours of Monday, October 19, 2015. Cops who rushed to the place of incident in the premises of IIT-Madras campus said, “G. Prasad student living in the third floor of Ganga hostel was found to be hanging from the ceiling under suspicious circumstances.”

As per the close sources of it was determined that G.Prasad hailed from Kollam in Kerala and joined the institution in 2012. Friends of G.Prasad reported that they found his body hanging from the ceiling of his room the authorities of the University. During the preliminary investigation, cops have assured that this might have been a suicide however no suicide note has been recovered from the place of the incident as of now.
Upon being asked about the incident, a senior police official said Mr. Prasad spoke to some of his friends at 9 p.m. on Sunday. Earlier last month on 21 September a 23-year-old M.Tech student hailing from Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh has been reported to be strung up himself in the Tamraparani hostel of IIT-Madras. He was reportedly depressed about failing an entrance exam to study at an institution abroad.
