Andhra Pradesh minister Ravela Kishore Babu’s son Ravela Susheel and his car driver Appa Rao allegedly molested a teacher of a private school in Hyderabad Banjara Hills area on Thursday while she was returning from school. The victim divulged details of the incident and said that the accused tried to pull her in their car forcefully.

Though the incident had occurred on Thursday, it came to the fore on Friday with several vernacular TV channels beaming the visuals of the lady teacher accusing the minister’s son of misbehaving with her.

Police disclosed that around 4 pm on Thursday, one woman, wife of a person, named Syed Azam, aged 20, lodged a complaint with Banjara Hills police. Assistant Commissioner of Police Uday Kumar Reddy said a complaint has been lodged.

The police has booked a case only against the driver though she had yesterday accused both the minister’s son and the driver of misbehaving with her.

According to sources, Susheel, who was driving the car with the driver seated next to him, intercepted and asked the teacher to get in the car. When she refused, he and the driver allegedly held her hand and pulled her into the car.

The car driver too had lodged a complaint with police after he and Susheel were “manhandled” by the locals.

Claiming innocence, Susheel, in a post on a social networking website said he had stopped the car to pick up a puppy on the road and suddenly “without any provocation” the teacher created a scene and they were manhandled.

Dear friends, I m here to tell you the actual truth.The events which are being portrayed in the news channels are completely made up and totally false.That afternoon on our way down from my quarters I stopped my vehicle suddenly as soon as I saw a little puppy crossing the road in front of my car. As I am really fond of pets I went and picked it up after which the lady who was near the vehicle without any specific reason started abusing and shouting. Even before I could react she created a scene because of which people started gathering. She misused the situation and misled the crowd because of which they lost control and started manhandling me. The incident was resolved yesterday itself but it was stretched till this evening. The crowd joined hands with unknown people whose only intention was political vengeance.This incident is a cruel act by our political opponents. Please do not give in to the false news.
