AP Government: Youth From Guntur District Kidnapped in Nigeria
Youth from Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh has been kidnapped in Nigeria from his place of living. The kidnapped person has been a native of Chintalapudi village of Duggirala in Guntur, has been abducted in Nigeria who is identified as Tanguturi Srinivasa Rao (26). Tanguturi Srinivas Rao has been working for a Nigerian Company as an accountant. Unfortunately, the event took place 5 days ago while to it took 5 days to confirm about his kidnap. Tanguturi Srinivas Rao, who is years old used to live in Benim town in Nigeria, was kidnapped last week as per the official information. The demands of the kidnappers and other details are not known. An official and local family friend of Tanguturi Srinivas Rao who works at Nigerian firm informed Srinivasa Rao’s family members about the incident. Family members and police personals are in contact with Chandrasekhar a relative of Srinivasa Rao, who is also working in Nigeria, to gather more information on the abduction.

Abducted Srinivasa Rao Worked As Accountant
Post completing MBA, Srinivas went to Nigeria where he was working for a construction company ‘Legacy by Merit Nigeria Limited (LMNL) in Bayelsa state. He is working there since the past 2-and-a-half years and even visited his home town in October this year as he used to visit the hometown every six months and spend some time with his family members. It is believed that Tanguturi Srinivasa Rao has been abducted along with his two Pakistani roommates by Armed Men last Friday from hotel room in Emigo town of Ogaria State. Investigation into the probe has been directed by the MLA Alapati Rajendra Prasad to the District SP to follow up the case staying in touch with Indian Embassy in Nigeria. It is believed that Tanguturi Srinivasa Rao might have been abducted by mistaken identity as a Pakistani national by the Nigerian Kidnappers.

Government Responds and Has Probed Investigation
MLA Alapati Rajendra Prasad and District SP proclaimed that efforts have been made to secure the release of Rao through the Indian embassy in the African country. According to a state government release Palle Raghunatha Reddy Andhra Pradesh Minister for Information and NRI Affairs has claimed that he spoke to the Acting Indian High Commissioner Kaisar Alam in Nigeria over phone and requested him to take up the matter with Nigerian President for the early release of abducted Srinivasa Rao. Political leaders across the state have been supporting the parents of the abducted Srinivas Rao morally and assuring their efforts to bring him back to home safely. Indian government need to respond quickly and should sort out this issue thus lets all wish and pray together for the safe release of Srinivasa Rao. Stay tuned to more updates.
