Bangalore Bomb Blast: Woman killed in Bangalore, Three Injured at IED Blast

Bangalore has been rocked with a Bomb Blast in the late hours of Sunday 28th December 2014. Amid the celebrations over the New Year Bangalore Bomb Blast has made the Union Home Ministry to send high alert to all other metro cities. Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai and many other state capitals have been sent red alert and have been directed to take precautionary measures. Police officials had acknowledged that there had been a minor Improvised Explosive Device (IED) bomb blast took place took place at around 8.30pm on the busy church street in Bengaluru’s heart has left one person dead and three injured. All the injured have been rushed to the nearby hospitals. The deceased Bhavani (37) and one injured Karthik (21) are from the same family where the former is the latter’s aunt. The other two injured are name is Sandeep H (39) and Vinay MR (35). Sandeep and Vinay are being admitted to Hosmat Hospital while Karthik is being treated at Malya Hospital. The deceased Bhavani who is 37 years old had been reportedly stated she was critically injured and is being claimed that she is being provided best treatment. She met with most of the injuries to her skull and neurosurgeons tried to revive her in the hospital in vain, she died of injuries around 10.45 p.m.Bengaluru Blast Kills One, Injures Three at Busy Street in Bengaluru

Blast Took Place at Coco Grove Point

Eyewitness acclaimed that the IED blast occurred at Coco Grove point. Victim Karthik’s Sister Priya reported to media that they all walked on the same pavement outside Coco Grove, a popular joint on the road and the injured were the last in the group. “All of us passed the place when we heard a huge blast. My aunt was thrown on one side and I could find my brother. My brother has a small injury on his back but my aunt bled a lot even in the auto,” she said. A kind and responsible auto driver B Narsimha (65) rushed the injured to the hospital in his auto. There has been yet to be known that what caused the blast as during the primary investigation police couldn’t figure out any suspicious article thus couldn’t come to any conclusion. People were shocked with the bomb blast and most of the Bangalore has been into mental trauma.

Bengaluru Police Commissioner stated that “From the preliminary investigation, the minor explosion was caused by an improvised explosive device (IED) placed on the footpath. We have mobilised the entire force in the city. Experts from internal security division and anti-sabotage teams have been called in. There was a threat perception to the city due the upcoming festivities and some other circumstances. However, it was general in nature and not specific.” Union law minister DV Sadanada Gowda visited the spot and proclaimed that “Blast regrettable. This should not have happened in Bengaluru. Yet it has happened. Centre will give all support to the state. Blast ahead of New Year is a cause for concern. Police is taking necessary steps. More details will come after investigation,” the minister told the reporters on the spot.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who was going to his house in Mysore from Madikeri without stepping into his house said, “I am going to Bengaluru right now. George is in Mumbai, he is leaving now. I condemn the Sunday night incident on Church Street. The aim seems to spoil the mood in the city which is gearing up for New Year celebrations. High alert has been declared across the city and extra police forces have been deployed in public places including bus stations, railway stations and airport. Special teams have been formed to nab those involved in the incident. Alert will be maintained in other major cities in the state. Public are requested not to fall prey to any rumours. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh inquired about the incident calling over to the CM of Karnataka Siddaramaiah and took stock of the situation.

Sundays Blast has been raising several speculations and dos it has any ISIS angle. There has been no confirmation and no terror group has acclaimed their responsibility of the blast. Bangalore Bomb Blast occurred at a time when the Islamic State (ISIS) militants warned the Bangalore police of dire consequences after it arrested leading Twitter jihadi Mehdi Masroor Biswas for his role in patronising the ISIS in India. Bengaluru Joint Commissioner (Crime) Hemanth Nimbalkar and Deputy Commissioner (Crime) Abhishek Goyal received messages from the ISIS supporters following the arrest of Twitter jihadi Mehdi Masroor Biswas, as they played an instrumental role in nabbing Biswas. Message was addressed to the police officials in Twitter from Twitter handle Abouanfal Almaghribi @abouanfal6, an ISIS supporter had said: “We will not leave our brothers in your hand. Revenge is coming. Wait for our reaction.” Police officials said that they are into investigation and they would reveal the further details whey they confirm them all.
