This is one of the bad moments for the Police men yesterday in terrorist attack in Gurdaspur. Terrorist attack was unbelievable and this sudden attack took time for Policemen to react. Though our Policemen had been worthy to oppose them, our Policemen had involved in this counter war without any armours. As this footage shows that no Policemen had took safety measures.

In one way, we can appreciate our Policemen that they didn’t think about their safety rather than people’s safety. 10 people were killed including three terrorists and an SP. The bomb disposal squad removed five bombs from the railway tracks which could have otherwise claimed thousands of innocent lives. Terrorists started this first by entering into a car and hijacking the car and started open firing at a bus station before going into Police station.

This has revealed that there was no security measures provided to the brave Policemen. Police men were fighting without any bullet-proof vest, armours or helmets. Kneepads were their only protection shield. The attackers had taken the help of technology by using GPS systems. The way some policemen threw grenades without aiming and then ran for shelter exposed the inadequate training and unbelievable defencelessness.

An overweight policeman found it difficult to run with his rifle in his hand. Though the operation was declared successful with all three terrorists shot dead, but the counter attack was so poor by keeping the policemen in risk without and armours or equipments provided to them. We salute for their tremendous efforts.
