At Least 15 Dead In Bus-Lorry Collision In Nalgonda District’s Ramannapeta

The accident took place where a RTC bus collided with a truck in Ramannapeta of Telangana’s Nalgonda district on Wednesday. At least 15 people including five women died after the Road Transport Corporation (RTC) bus.

The incident occurred in the afternoon where the Narketpally depot Telangana State RTC bus was going from Warangal to Nalgonda when a lorry coming in the opposite direction hit it leading to the accident near  Ramannapet village where there is a highway narrows.

The passengers, who were sitting in the right side seats in the bus including the driver, were killed on the spot since this part of the bus was totally damaged due to the intensity of collision.

Nalgonda Superintendent of Police Vikram Jeet Duggal said that while 10 persons were died and the injured were rushed to Bhongir, near Rammannapet Hospitals. The officials had sent a medical team to Rammannapet Hospital from Government General Hospital, Nalgonda to provide better treatment. The number of deaths may increase since the condition of some of the injured people is said to be critical.

Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has rushed Telangana Energy Minister G. Jagadishwar Reddy, Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy and Transport Minister P. Mahendar Reddy at the spot note the situation. The Ministers said that the Government would order a probe into the incident.
