There are no big surprises from the states except Uttar Pradesh, which will elect a new Assembly in 2017. The ruling Samajwadi Party has lost both Muzaffarnagar and Deoband Assembly seats.   • Bikapur, Uttar Pradesh: Samajwadi Party’s Anand Sen Yadav wins. In Deoband, Congress candidate Mavia Ali wins by a margin of 3400 votes. BJP wins by 6000 votes in Muzaffarnagar.
  • Amarpur, Tripura: Parimal Debnath of CPI(M) wins by 20,355 votes, BJP on second position.
  • Harlakhi, Bihar: NDA candidate wins by around 18,000 votes. In Harlakhi, RLSP candidate Sudhanshu Shekhar leading by 2600 votes.
  • Palghar, Maharashtra: Shiv Sena candidate Amit Ghoda wins by a margin of 18,948 votes. In Palghar,  Shiv Sena candidate Amit Ghoda leading after 8th round.
  • Khadoor Sahib, Punjab: Shiromani Akali Dal wins by a margin of 65,664 votes. In Khadoor Sahib, Shiromani Akali Dal candidate Ravinder Singh Brahmpura is leading by over 54,000 votes after 13 rounds of counting.
  • Medak district, Hyderabad: TRS wins by a margin of 53,600 votes.
  • Maihar, Madhya Pradesh: BJP’s Narayan Tripathi leading by 2452 votes after 3rd round. In Maihar, BJP’s Narayan Tripathi ahead of Congress’ Manish Patel by over 1800 votes.
  • Devadurga, Karnataka: BJP candidate Shivana Gouda Naik leads in the 6th round by 3200 votes. In Hebbal, BJP candidate YA Narayanaswamy leading by 12063 votes.
