In a yet another ugly incident, a Janata Dal (Secular) Gram Panchayat President was caught on camera attempting to rape a 32-year-old female attendant in Madhya District, Karnataka. The accused was identified as Chandrahasa, Gram Panchayat President of Kesturu in Madya District.

The 32-year-old attendant was working as a Group D employee in the Panchayat since six years. According to the CCTV footage, the incident took place at around 6 PM.

When she returned on the next day, she told her fellow employees about the incident. They then confronted Chandrahasa for doing such activities. Upon checking the CCTV footage, it was clearly seen the activities of Chandrahasa.

After seeing the footage, the Panchayat employees then thrashed him before handing him over to the police. The police have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and arrested the Panchayat President.
