This is a shocking CCTV footage of Mercedes hitting a man on the busy road at the posh Civil Lines area in North Delhi. The video clearly shows a speeding silver Mercedes hitting the victim in red T-shirt. In northern Delhi, when Siddharth Sharma was crossing the road near his home, he was hit by the car. The 17-year-old son of a businessman was driving the car.

The impact of the accident was so much so that Siddharth jumped to 15-20 feet before hitting the ground. He was rushed to the hospital with several injuries but Doctors confirmed that he was dead. According to some eyewitnesses, at the time of the accident, there were nearly 7-8 minors inside the car who flee away after the accident. The boy who was driving the car was taken into custody but later let off on bail.

The victim, 32-year-old marketing executive Sidharth Sharma, was the marketing head of a private enterprise, and also pursuing a professional degree. While Sharma was about to cross the intersection near Ludlow Castle School there, a speeding Mercedes hit him. CCTV footage obtained from the area was checked thoroughly and eye-witness accounts were matched with the details.

The Police report also said that the father of the accused was only issued a challan under section (5) and 181 of the Motor Vehicles Act for giving the car keys to his son who is not authorized to drive. However, if proven guilty, he will spend three months in prison and will have to pay a fine of Rs 1,000. The minor is just a week away from turning 18.

Sharma’s body has been sent for postmortem examination.
