Legendary film producer Daggubati Ramanaidu (D.Rama Naidu) passed away in Hyderabad on Wednesday afternoon, 18 February after a long battle with cancer. He is well known for the producing films in various languages is one of such a notable person who produced films in multilingual Indian languages.

Daggubati Ramanaidu (D Rama Naidu) was diagnosed of prostrate cancer in last year January. He is was being treated in Hyderabad at a super specialty hospital while his condition deteriorated and thus couldn’t survive and was declared no more after ill multiple organs failure functioning. Daggubati Ramanaidu (D Rama Naidu) who aged 78 is survived by two sons Suresh Babu, Venkatesh Daggubati and grandsons Rana.

Movie Moghul Daggubati Ramanaidu (D Rama Naidu) was born in Karamchedu in Andhra Pradesh on 6 June 1936. During his initial days he was involved in many businesses such as rice mill business and a bus transport business in Karamchedu although he was captivated with art and culture which made him to step into film industry and his interests shifted to films when one of his close aid from Karamchedu area started Shambu Films production agency. After starting his career with the film industry he got close to late legendary actor Akkineni Nageshwara Rao as started looking after on-set shoot arrangements.
Was the Only Indian to Produce Movies in 13 Languages
He holds Guinness Book of World Records for the most films produced by an individual who produced 150 films in 13 Indian languages. Government of India conferred him with the Padma Bhushan in recognition for his contribution to Telugu cinema in the year 2012. He was also a recipient of highest Indian Government award in film industry the Dada Saheb Phalke Award for Lifetime Achievement in the film industry for his outstanding contribution in the year 2009.
Daggubati Ramanaidu (D Rama Naidu) had been a member of parliament for the Bapatala constituency of Guntur District in the 13th Lok Sabha from 1999–2004 where he contributed a substantial part of his earnings to numerous philanthropic purposes including the Ramanaidu Charitable Trust that was founded in 1991.
