If you see a Chinese number that starts with +86 is barging into the Indian Army groups that are made on WhatsApp and are trying to contact the personal data. Keep an eye on the numbers that start with +86.
The users need to check the WhatsApp groups once and find out if there are any unauthorized numbers that have been added to the group. Also, all the contacts in the group have to be saved by their names. Be careful about suspicious numbers.
Inform the administrator of the group if you happen to change the number.
Regularly do scrutiny of the unknown numbers.
Last, but not the least, destroy the contact SIM card if you change the contact number and delete the WhatsApp Group on that number.
The Army had set up a WhatsApp number for its soldiers last year to post their problems directly to the Army Chief Gen Bipin Rawat instead of going to the social media and share the problems.
This decision was taken by the army after a couple of videos were posted online by the army personnel.
This is the WhatsApp number to register the complaints. – +91 9643300008.
Many officers in the army are apprehensive about the move. They say that it will be impossible for them to keep out the unwanted messages that can come on WhatsApp since the number used here is a common one, not just the 1.3 million army personnel who can send messages to the number, but also the number can be shared widely in the world. Also, there will be no check on the text or any media which is being sent to that number.
