Comedian ‘Kondavalasa’ Lakshman Rao Is No More, Takes his Last Breath at NIMS, Hyderabad

Tollywood Film Industry lost another noted comedian Kondavalasa Lakshman Rao. Kondavalasa is no more. He passed away on Monday (Nov 2nd) due to health complications. He was being treated at NIMS, Hyderabad since few days. On a sudden, his health got depraved before taking his last breath. Kondavalasa was 69 and his hilarious comedy will never be forgotten.

Kondavalasa Lakshman Rao was born in Srikakulam District and well known as Kondavalasa. He created his own mark in the TFI. He is survived by wife Kamala. Before making his foray into films, he worked in Visakhapatnam. His passion for acting made him act as a theater artist and acted in over 250 stage plays, given 1000 stage performances.

He was said to be a serious artist in stage plays. Director Vamsi had seen one of his stage plays and was impressed with his performance and cast him as a comedian in his film Avunu Valliddaru Isthapaddaru in 2002. Since then, he never looked back. His performance in the film received several honors. One of his famous dialogues is “Nenu Oppukonu, Ithe Okay“.

Kondavalasa acted in over 70 films like like Andarivadu, Sainikudu, Adhurs, Varudu, Radha Gopalam, Evadi Gola Vadidhe, Satyam and many more. TFI lost many popular comedians like MS Narayana, AVS, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, Ahuti Prasad, Mada Venkateswara Rao. Now Kondavalasa passed away leaving TFI grief stricken.
