In a freak accident, a student of a Delhi University college was injured when a light rig fell on him during a fashion show inside the college campus. An annual function at the prestigious Delhi University’s Deshbandhu College turned tragic on Tuesday, Feb 2, when a vertical light stand came crashing down at the students, during a live performance.

The horrific incident was caught on camera, when some of the students were walking on the ramp, during a fashion show ‘Sabrang 2016’ annual fest. Students from Sri Aurobindo College were performing when the technical glitch marred the festivities.

One of the male student, Akash Dahiya studying B.Com second year in Sri Aurobindo College was admitted to Fortis hospital, where his condition is said to be stable and out of danger.

The student suffered serious injuries on face and back after the light rig fell on him. There are reports of injuries on some students.
