Delhi Ration Card Status Check By Aadhar Card Number Applications Online : Delhi Government had announced a revolutionary scheme and facility to the people of Delhi those who have been a  beneficiary of the ration commodities. Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Admi Party Government of Delhi has come up with an innovative method of availing the people of Delhi to check their ration card status, distribution of their allotted rations, performance of the officials of the department in online.

Delhi Government has ascended with this new method of surveillance over the PDS or ration cards for the first time in India. Thus all Delhiites who all wish to check their ration cards status can now check it out online website of government along with monitoring their allotted distribution funds, and ration which brings and entrusts transparency minimising the illegal trading of ration commodities.

Delhi Governments Food Supplies and Customer Affairs Minister which has been provided on the home page of the portal – nfs.delhi.gov.in – under the head, ‘Citizens Corner’.claimed that on the department’s website real-time information about pendency and disposal of applications for food security and ration cards by inspectors and food and supply officers has been made available. As per the info stated by the Minister of Asim Ahmed Khan  every citizen of Delhi can visit the website and click on the link named ‘Date wise Disposal of Applications by FSO/Inspector’ which has been provided on the home page of the portal – nfs.delhi.gov.in – under the head, ‘Citizens Corner’.

The minister Asim Ahmed Khan  further added that “Besides this, people can also see performance of the department’s officers in disposal of applications for providing food security and issuing Food Security ration cards.” The minister opined that the online facility will further improve transparency in the functioning of the department which is highly practical and achievable. Delhi has 70 offices of Food Supplies and Customer Affairs Deaprtment the in city where applications for grant of food security can be submitted. Each of the department has one Food & Supply Officer and Inspector who scrutinises all these submitted applications decides eligibility of the applicants to get food security under the National Food Security Act 2013.

On a concluding note, the minister stated that “Decision on applications can be immediately known online by people who can appeal against the decision of approval or rejection of the applications.”
