A person was declared brain dead at Fortis Hospital, Gurgaon and his family consented to donate the organs. Fortis Escort Hospital New Friends Colony, Delhi had a patient who required heart transplant. The hospital authorities decided to transport the live organ from Gurgaon to Delhi hospital. Delhi Traffic Police provided the green corridor to an ambulance carrying the live organ & saved the life of a man.

A 32-km-long green corridor created to transport a heart from a hospital in Gurgaon to Delhi. The ambulance carrying live organ entered Delhi at 2:00 hrs and covered a distance of 25 km from Aya Nagar to New Friends Colony in about 17 mins.
