Derek O’ Brien’s Unapologetically Bold Speech On The Juvenile Justice Bill [Video]

After long deliberation, the Indian parliament on Thursday passed the amended Juvenile Justice Law which allows to try juveniles accused of heinous crimes as adults. While MPs from both sides made their case as usual, TMC MP Derek O’ Brien took everyone by surprise with an impassioned speech – straight from the heart.

“Had it been my daughter, god forbid, what would I do? Would I have trusted the laws of the country or hire the best lawyers or taken out a gun and shot him? I would have taken out a gun and shot him. So it is an emotional matter,” he said.
