It is known that Friday is Earth day. But keeping in mind the present situations of our planet it should be considered as Earth day every day. For planting trees is this year`s theme. Trees for the Earth is exactly appropriate. Trees can play very important role in the environment. As we all know tree can absorb carbon dioxide and release Oxygen which is consumed by Humans and survive. Trees can also remove pollutants and soil erosion at the time of storms and floods.

Canopy project is the first to start on 2011 saying it as Earth day. On that day, they planted over 3 million trees in 32 countries. In this, they also focused on areas that need reforestation. In this project, they restore, repair and plant new trees to save the planet from disasters.

This year on the Earth Day they start a campaign and plant about 7.8 billion trees on its 50th Anniversary. It is believed trees help combat climate change by absorbing harmful carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Trees absorb all the gases and odors we produce and release oxygen that is very helpful for life on the planet.

“A green economy not only protects ourselves and our planet, but can provide millions of jobs as we develop and install new technologies, rebuild and retrofit buildings, and devise new processes and modes of production,” the Earth Day website says.
