FIR Filed Against Sunny Deol for Hurting Sentiments in Mohalla Assi
Sunny Deol has to face allegations against him unexpectedly for hurting the religious sentiments of a social community. Independent organization files complaint against the movie Mohalla Assi crew, stars, director in Varanasi alleging violation of Hindu community rights and the depicting the prominent city of India Varanais in low light. Sarvajan Jagruti Sanstha, an independent organization has filed an First Information Report (FIR) against Sunny Deol and Mohalla Assi along with the director Chandra Prakash Dwivedi for hurting the religious sentiments and the historical place Varanasi chronicle.

Sarvajan Jagruti Sanstha organisation states that director Chandra Prakash Dwivedi and the crew including Sunny Deol and Mohalla Assi were portraying the Indian Hindu culture in disgraceful way and ill faming Varanasi city which has much prominence in Indian chronicles.
FIR against Sunny Deol, Mohalla Assi and director Chandra Prakash Dwivedi was filed at Bhelupur police station on Sunday. Complainant, Sarvajan Jagruti Sanstha organisation, briefed that “The film hurts religious sentiments and we cannot allow such a film to be released.”
Film which is being directed by Chandra Prakash Dwivedi features Sunny Deol, Ravi Kishen and Sakshi Tanwar which is based on a novel by noted Hindi writer Kashi Nath Singh, Mohalla Assi. The novel and the film focuses on the the life of a middle class family that earns its bread and butter by organizing religious rituals. Lead character of the film Mohalla Assi is being played by Sunny Deol which is a guy who likes to use cuss words in his daily conversations.

Sakshi Tanwar plays a role of innocent wife of Sunny Deol who wonders most of the time why foreigners are so much interested in Varanasi. Responding to complaint filed by Sarvajan Jagruti Sanstha organisation, director Chandra Prakash Dwivedi of Mohalla Assi said the film’s trailer was leaked and called it a conspiracy to malign the film basing which the FIR was framed.
Director Chandra Prakash Dwivedi alleged it is the act of the people who are against the film and intent to defame the , the actors and also author Kashi Nath Singh on whose novel (Kashi Ka Assi) the film is based. He further added that “There are a few things I want to clarify — this is not the official trailer, it’s a leaked version for which we have lodged an FIR in Oshiwara (Mumbai Police) and Cyber Cell. It’s a conspiracy to malign us and the film. The version has been made in such a way that it shows as if the film is all about abuses and maligns the image of the holy city. That is not true. This is not what our film is all about.”
