11-year-old orphan girl from Jharkhand Maalti Tudu is earning praise for carrying her ill brother to a hospital. She carried her younger brother, 7, who was running a high fever, on her shoulders to a nearest hospital which was eight kilometers away from their home.

With no medical and transport facilities in the vicinity so, she had no other option but to carry her brother to the nearest hospital as early as possible. “I don’t have parents, my Grand mother takes care of us. My brother was unwell,” Maalti Tudu said.

People who were present at the hospital shocked to see her carrying her brother on her shoulders, came forward to help her. “I saw the girl crying at the hospital and took her to the doctor. After the treatment, we sent her back by ambulance,” a social worker Manoj Bhagat said.
