Hindu Ramayana, Bhagavad Gita Torn Pages Found in Ludhiana

Holy Hindu epic Sanskrit mythologies of ancient India Ramayana and Bhagavad Gita torn pages have been found in Ludhiana. Sources add in that these torn pages on Monday on a street at Chander Nagar area in Ludhiana city. This is yet another incident of blasphemy to take place in Punjab in the short course of time after violence erupted in the state of Punjab due to the torn and missing page of Guru Granth Sahib from a Gurudwara last month.

Cops Detain 2 Suspects in Regard with Torn Pages of Ramayana and Bhagavad Gita

Ludhiana city was again gripped in tension after locals residents found the torn pages of highly regarded Hindu mythologies the pages while they were holding a ‘prabhat pheri’ in the early hours on Monday on a street at Chander Nagar area.

CCTV footages have been checked by the cops to figure out the miscreants behind the incident. Cops who were alerted with this mishap carried on a probe into the issue to sneak into the possibilities which might have led to the occurrence of the incident. The examined CCTV footage revealed that four teenagers carried torn pages of the holy scriptures Ramayana and Bhagavad Gita in polyethene bags and scattered them at 6 am in the streets of Chander Nagar area.

Following the preliminary investigation, two suspects have been arrested by the cops and retrieve the torn pages of the holy Hindu epic poems their self-possession. Division No. 4, Station House Officer (SHO), Dharampal said that “during the investigation some children were spotted tearing the pages of the holy books. The local residents should be lauded for maintaining peace and calm holding back with patience to maintain communal harmony.”

To avoid any sort of communal violence in the streets of Chander Nagar area, heavy forces of cops and security personnel’s have been deployed. An FIR has been filed in this regard and cops are probing the issue for more clues and possible actions behind the disgraceful act hurting the sentiments and beliefs of a large section of people of the nation.

The previous month Punjab was gripped with communal tensions after Sikh holy religious manuscript Guru Granth Sahib torn pages were found missing which later resulted to violence in the state killing two protesters in police firing in Faridkot district on October 14.
