We have witnessed many twitter exchanges between celebrities but this one between two inspirational legends was one of the most heartwarming exchanges on Twitter. Sachin Tendulkar and Amitabh Bachchan are the two biggest icons from different fields in India. Even being the best at what they do, they are humble to the core and have respect for each other despite a huge age difference.

It all started with legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, who is very active in social media platform Twitter. The actor recently made a tweet which showed a picture of street art on a wall in Ahmedabad. It shows the Big B himself found space between two ‘Bharat Ratnas’ – melody queen Lata Mangeshkar and batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar. The painting also has a touch of saffron, white and green – depicting the tricolour – on it.

He tweeted:

Not surprisingly, hundreds of fans re-tweeted to the post, disagreeing with their favourite superstar. However, the most heartening response came from Sachin Tendulkar himself.

In response to this tweet of Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin indeed hit a sixer! This is what he tweeted:

Sachin meant to say, Lata Mangeshkar & Amitabh Bachchan are inspirational & timeless while he himself is known as former player now, who retired from all forms of cricket in November 2013.  “Only one of the three was no longer working.”

It was a great to see when the two praised each other with utmost humbleness. This tweet made by Amitabh Bachchan showed his modesty but Sachin’s tweet showed his humility as well his wisdom.
