Apple Technology Company is all set to open a development center in Hyderabad on May 19. According to the Telangana State IT Department Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, there is no confirmation that if Apple CEO Tim Cook will visit India and present the opening ceremony or not.

“Apple team is coming. But we do not know who are the members of the team which are coming on May 19 (Thursday) for the launch of the facility. We are not 100 per cent sure whether Apple CEO Tim Cook will be there or not. We also asked them. We are waiting for the confirmation,” Ranjan said.

Jayesh Rajan also said that Apple technology company that owns popular consumer electronic brands had already met the state government officials, requesting their support for some of the clearances.

“They have already identified space in a building owned by Tishman Speyer at Nanakramguda. We are also extending support to the company in terms of obtaining necessary approvals from various departments,” Rajan said.

The details like the amount of investment which Apple company is planning to put into the centre are not revealed. According to the reports, it is said that Tim Cook will be visiting India this week and likely to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
