Hyderabad: Case Against Qutbullapur MLA K.P. Vivekananda For Threatening A Person At Jeedimetla

The Jeedimetla police have registered a case against Qutbullapur MLA K.P. Vivekananda on Wednesday for allegedly threatening and assaulting a person at Jeedimetla over an issue about setting up a fire crackers shop.

According to the police, K.M. Vishal, who is associated with Congress Party, went and questioned a person who set up a fire crackers shop in front of the office of the Mr. Vivekananda at Qutbullapur under Jeedimetla police station limits. However, the businessman complained to the MLA about Vishal. Mr. Vivekananda along with his followers came out of his office and argument ensued between them following which Mr. Vivekananda and his followers allegedly manhandled Vishal.

Based on a complaint made by Vishal the police registered a case against the MLA Vivekananda and his followers. However, Mr. Vivekananda also lodged a complaint against Vishal saying that he along with his followers attacked him.

“We are inquiring into the allegations levied by both the persons. Action will be taken after completing the probe,” A Chandrasekhar, Jeedimetla Inspector,  said.

Earlier, when Vishal’s father Pratap had contested the assembly election last year from Qutbullapur, there are certain political issues between the MLA Vivekananda and Pratap. “It could have resulted in the skirmish,” a police official said.
