Hyderabad Girl Kept Under Surveillance For Suspected ISIS Links

A girl from Hyderabad has been kept under surveillance for her suspected links with terror outfit ISIS. As per police reports the girl was allegedly in touch with Mohd Sirazudin, the arrested executive of Indian Oil Corporation.

“The woman in her mid-20s was radicalised online and deeply influenced by the activities of ISIS. She was in regular touch with many sympathisers of the terrorist group. She is under surveillance but efforts are on to de-radicalise her with the help of family and community leaders,” a security official said.

Mohammad Sirazudin, the arrested Indian Oil Corporation executive, had formed closed groups of ISIS sympathisers in Facebook and Whatsapp. The groups  includes the Hyderabadi girl and two youths from Maharashtra. Uisng the groups they were allegedly spreading ISIS activities online and trying to recruit Indian youths.

This is not the first time a Hyderabad woman found having links with ISIS. Earlier 37-year-old Afsha Jabeen alias ‘Nicky Joseph’ hails from Hyderabad allegedly involved in recruiting people for Islamic State terror outfit was deported by UAE and subsequently arrested in Hyderabad.
