Hyderabad- Telangana State: Sanjeevaiah Park will have a new look with added different theme parks including Nakshatra Vanam and Butterfly Park by the end of December. Nearly 20 acres of land in Sanjeevaiah Park will be revitalised for developing different theme parks.

Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority officials told that the theme parks of Nakshatra Vanam having 27 trees associated with zodiac signs, and a Butterfly Park on 20 acres by December. The said land lands and other solid wastes are removed from the lake have been shifted to a dumping yard on the outskirts of the city. The silt and other wastes was removed from the Hussainsagar as part of the Hussainsagar Lake and Catchment Area Improvement Project (HCIP) which is taken up with the assistance of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Thus, the 20-acre site will now be restored to its pristine glory. The theme parks include Bambusetum Garden of 50 to 60 species of bamboo plants will be collected from different parts of the country, Palmetum Garden palm or arecaceae plants and Butterfly Park at a cost of Rs 3 crore with JICA assistance.

Nakshatra has a symbolic tree or plants which are recommended as per the ruling god of a particular Nakshatra and these are mentioned in Indian Vedas. Every humanbeing is born in a particular nakshatra (Star) and based on this, his /her plantary positions suits a particular type of plant according to their horoscope and place of residence. Each plant has their own aura level which encompass the area in which they are planted and it gives the positive effect on the nature of human being thus increasing the positive energy level of that place and thus gives the vaastu balancing effect of that place.

As per astrologers each constellation of the zodiac is associated with a tree. It has developed a Nakshatra Vanam where trees associated constellations or nakshatras have been planted. These trees possess medicinal, social, aesthetic or economic value.

It will be useful for citizens to know which tree belongs to their janma nakshatram (birth star) and to have some idea about its medicinal values or other important aspects. The 27 trees associated with each Nakshatra will directly create a healthy and sound physical, mental, psychological and spiritual well-being, the officials said.

Butterfly Park:

A Butterfly Park will also be developed in the vicinity to attract various species of butterflies found in Hyderabad and other places with perennial flowering plants which yield nectar. Children and the young at heart will love the Butterfly Park and it will be one of most enjoyable places to visit Sanjeevaiah Park.

Bambusetum Garden:

Bambusetum Park is the park where the garden having a large number of bamboo plants.

The walkway, about 1 to 1.5 km long, which was damaged due to lake dredging, will be lay again with landscape and flowering species up to the shoreline of PV Ghat.
