This might be a batsmen’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand with batting records being blown away. But try telling that to Indian bowlers. They have been exceptional in each game and now have claimed a record. Indian bowlers were once again impressive. At the Eden Park ground on Saturday, they bowled the opposition out, this time – Zimbabwe.

This was sixth match in a row that India had got their rivals all out at World Cup 2015. This is a joint record with South Africa. The Proteas had done the same in 2011 edition. India began their World Cup defence against Pakistan on February 15 in Adelaide. Since that day, they are on a roll, winning all five games so far.

Today, they bowled out Zimbabwe for 287 and look good to make it 6-0 heading into the quarter-finals on March 19 against Bangladesh. However, today’s score of 287 was the most conceded by India so far in the tournament. Before the World Cup started, Indian bowlers had come in for heavy criticism after failing in the tri-series that preceded. Now, all of a sudden, they are in outstanding form.
