While everyone in India is celebrating Wrestler Sakshi Malik’s hard efforts at the Rio Olympics, Women Wrestler Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi’s compatriot, had been hurt during the match against China’s Sun Yanan on Wednesday.

During the match between Vinesh Phogat and Sun Yanan in the ladies’ free-form 48kg quarterfinal, Vinesh was unfortunately hurt as her ligament was torn in her right leg. She had to exit the Games. She was seen hurt both physically and mentally.

The 21-year-old, who was pushed as a medal prospect for India, was seen grimacing in pain. She was treated more than 5-minutes before being stretchered off for the medical treatment. Earlier, Phogat had convincingly beaten Romania’s Emilia Alina Vuc in the opening session 11-0 to win by a more prominent prevalence (10-0) and was an extraordinary prospect for an award in her 48kg class.
