IPL 2015 Team Players Auction Live Streaming Information and Updates

The eighth edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set with the IPL 2015 auction of players on February 16 with top cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Hashim Amla being the star attractions in IPL 8 auctions. Yuvraj Singh becomes the highest paid cricketer in the history of Indian Premier League after he was bought by Delhi Daredevils at a whopping price of Rs 16 crore in IPL 2015 Player Auction taking place in Benagaluru. The other marquee players that will be auctioned, apart from Yuvraj, include former Delhi Daredevils captain Kevin Pietersen and their costliest player last year, Dinesh Karthik. South Africa’s Amla is another big fish waiting to be bought by the franchises, who will be ready with their respective strategic teams.

In all, 122 players including 78 Indian and 44 overseas cricketers have been retained by the franchises for the season 2015, while 6 Indians have been traded during the window for player trade this year. 9.37 am IST: Murali Vijay sold to Kings XI Punjab for Rs 3 crores

9.47 am IST: Angelo Mathews sold to Delhi Daredevils for Rs 7.5 crores

9.47 am IST: Kane Williamson sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 60 lakh

10.00 am IST: Yuvraj Singh sold to Delhi Daredevils for Rs 16 crores

10.00 am IST: Former Delhi Daredevils captain and England player Kevin Pietersen sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 2 crores.

10.11 am IST: Dinesh Karthik is the second most expensive player to be sold at IPL 8 player auction after he is bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for 10.5 crore rupees.

10.19 am IST: Amit Mishra sold to Delhi Daredevils for Rs 3.5 crores

10.23 am IST: Australian opening batsman Aaron Finch is bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs. 2 crore

  • Australian veteran Brad Hodge is the first player to go under the hammer at a base price of Rs. 1 crore. He goes UNSOLD
  • England’s Alex Hales with the same base price also goes UNSOLD.
  • New Zealand’s Ross Taylor with a base price of Rs. 1 crore and he also goes UNSOLD.
  • Australia’s experienced batsman Cameron White with a base price of Rs. 1.5 crores is UNSOLD.

10.53 am IST: RCB buy Badrinath for Rs. 30 Lakhs

10.54 am IST: Chennai buy Hussey for Rs. 1.5 crores: Former Australia batsman Michael Hussey, who has played for a couple of franchises in the IPL starts with a base price of Rs. 1.5 crores.

10.55 am IST: Test specialist Pujara goes UNSOLD! India’s Test specialist Cheteshwar Pujara is next up for grabs at a base price of Rs. 1 crore.

10:56 am IST: England’s Michael Carberry with a base price of Rs. 50 lakhs goes UNSOLD

11.01 am IST:

  • Matthew Wade of Australia is the first player with a base price of Rs. 1 crore but he goes UNSOLD
  • Zimbabwe’s wicketkeeper-batsman Brendan Taylor with a base price of Rs. 30 lakh goes UNSOLD to complete the round of wicketkeepers.
  • West Indies wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin with a base price of Rs. 50 lakh also fails to attract any buyers and he goes UNSOLD
  • New Zealand’s Luke Ronchi, Morne Vay Wyk of South Africa, Sri Lanka’s Kushal Perera with a base price of Rs. 30 lakh all go UNSOLD

  • Hyderabad buy Bopara for Rs. 1 crore: West Indies all-rounder Marlon Samuels starts with a base price of Rs. 1.5 crore but he goes UNSOLD.
  • Sri Lanka’s Tillakaratne Dilshan is up for sale at a base price of Rs. 1.5 crore and he also goes UNSOLD.
  • England’s Ravi Bopara with a base price of Rs. 1 crore is sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for the same price.

11:08 am IST:

All-rounder Irfan Pathan goes unsold: Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan starts with a base price of Rs. 1.5 crore. But he attracts no bids and goes UNSOLD

11.12 am IST:

  • Rajasthan bag Morris for Rs. 1.4 crore: South Africa’s Christopher Morris with a base price of Rs. 50 lakh gets an opening bid from Rajasthan Royals before Delhi Daredevils come into the fray.
  • Both teams are keen on securing the pace bowling all-rounder as the bid soon doubles to Rs. 1 crore and still going strong…
  • Rajasthan finally bag Morris for Rs. 1.4 crore.

11:14 am IST:

  • Bangalore buy Sammy for Rs. 2.8 crore
  • West Indies all-rounder Darren Sammy starts with a base price of Rs. 1 crore and attracts bids from Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils. But Bangalore manage to bag him for Rs. 2.8 crore

11:16 am IST:

  • South African pacer Wayne Parnell with a base price of Rs. 30 lakh goes UNSOLD.
  • Former India all-rounder Laxmi Ratan Shukla starts with a base price of Rs. 30 lakh and gets an instant bid from Sunrisers Hyderabad which turns out to be the only bid for him.

11:19 am IST:

  • Hyderabad buy Praveen Kumar for 2.2 crore: Next up is the set of fast bowlers and the fast name drawn is India discard Praveen Kumar with a base price of Rs. 50 lakh. Chennai Super Kings make the opening bid before Sunrisers Hyderabad raise it further.
  • It turns to be a keen tussle between the two franchises with the bid racing past the 2 crore mark in no time.
  • It is Hyderabad, who manage to buy Kumar for Rs. 2.2 crore.

After a brief introduction given by Indian Premier League (IPL) COO Sundar Raman, Richard Madley, a second generation auctioneer officially starts the IPL 2015 Player Auction. The first player up for bid from marquee category player – Hashim Amla. He remain unsold with the bidding for him started at 2 crore.

The tournament starts on 8 April, Wednesday 2015 after the end of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. A total of 60 T20 matches including Final are expected to be held in the entire tournament. The Pepsi Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015 final will be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
