Kamal Hassan is an Indian film actor who works majorly in Tamil film industry. In his career over five years decade, he did not accept and acted in the single product of the advertisements. But now he entered into the world of advertising by endorsing a product in his career. He became the Brand ambassador of the textile showroom “Pothys” which was released on 1st October 2015 by taking the huge remuneration of 10 crores which was released on 1st October 2015.

According to the reports, Kamal Hassan will give the money to the people suffering from HIV/AIDS. He is also the United Nations ambassador on HIV/AIDS and had actively endeavored for the Tamil Nadu AIDS Control Society.

“Pothys – People’s Pothys” is a one-minute advertisement which directed by actor and photographer Krishna. In this ad, the actor asks the people what makes them proud and some of them explains what makes them proud. Kamal says there is another reason that make proud for Tamilians i.e The Pothys silk.

The last film of Kamal is “Papanasam” which is the remake of Malayalam super hit movie Dhrishyam. Now, he is busy in doing “Thoongavanam”, which is a bilingual film (Tamil, Telugu). “Thoongavanam” is directed by Rajesh which is expected to hit big screens on Diwali.
