More than 450,000 students sat for the exams. Students who sat for the exams are in tension for fetching the results. This time around, KNEC will also release results for early childhood development examinations as well as business examinations from various colleges. Students sat for 74 papers in 31 subjets in 8,211 examination centres, served by 828 distribution points.
Along with the KCSE Results KNEC will also release list of top 100 schools and students every year. This year also KCSE will annonce the KCSE Toppers list or top 100 candiates list and top 100 schools list which include list of national, county, private and district schools according to KCSE 2014 Results performance.
KCSE Results 2014 :
The candidates increased from 839759 candidates in thee yar 2013 to 880486 candidates in the year 2014, a candidates increase of 40727 candidates representing a 4.85% increase. Of the 880,486 candidates who sat for the 2014 examination 437,288 were girls, while 443,258 are boys, representing a gender parity of 49.7% girls; 50.3% boys. This clearly show that we are almost attaining equal gender parity for the KCPE examination.
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education has provided two falicilities to check the results to avoid the rush in the long queue. One is by SMS system other is Online.

Students sat for Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education can feth their results by SMS system provided by KNEC. To Obtain your KCSE results through simple SMS youneed to know the Index number of the candidate. If you know the Index number send your number to to 22252 form Safaricom, Airtel and Orange networks. for this SMS you will charged using the service provider charges.
Fetch KNEC KCSE Results 2014 Online :
- Visit the KCSE official website or open the direct link given below.
- Search for KCSE Results tab in Official site.
- Select the year of your to which you belong.
- Then you need to enter your Index number.
- Click on Submit button.
- Depeding on the net speed the results will be shown on the screen.
