KMC Election 2016 Result | Khammam Municipal Corporation Winners List
The counting of votes for election to Khammam Municipal Corporation (KMC) and Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) in Telangana is underway. The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is leading in both the civic polls. The city has 2,65,710 registered voters.
Khammam Municipal Corporation Election was held on 6th March 2016 between 7 am to 5 pm and Election was held on 265 polling station. KMC Election 2016 Results and winner list will be announced today and Vote counting of Election is started already at 8 am.

Around 68 per cent voter turn-out was today recorded in the election to Khammam Municipal Corporation (KMC) in Telangana. This was the first election after the formation of Khammam Municipal Corporation.
Till reports last came in, out of 50 divisions in Khammam Municipal Corporation, TRS won 34 divisions, while the Congress won 10, Left four and YSR Congress party two seats.

A total of 291 candidates from Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Congress-CPI combine, Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI (M)], YSR Congress, BJP and Independents were in the fray for 50 divisions of the civic body.
