A 14-year-old Afghanistan boy (Assad) telling his sad story, how he is taking care of his family instead of playing at this age. If his elders didn’t take part in wars then he might be not polishing shoes.

Assad polishing shoes to earn AFN 100 per day, to support his family. Where his father is wholly incapable of movement, he won’t earn money to support a family. The extent of cumulative adverse childhood experiences such as war, family violence, child labour, and poverty were assessed in a sample of school children.
