Lok Sabha Elections 2019: BJP’s Sadvhi Pragya Thakur Banned For 72 Hours Over Provocative Remarks

BJP’s Sadhvi Pragya Thakur, a person that is accused in a bomb blast that injured more than 100 people and killed 7, has been banned for 72 hours by the Election Commission of India for violating its guidelines by giving out provocative remarks.

On September 29, 2008, 2 bombs were fitted on a motorcycle and went off in Malegaon, a Muslim town in the western part of Maharashtra.

Sadhvi Thakur has been accused of the conspiracy of the Malegaon Blasts, but she has denied the charges that were set up against her.

Last month, Sadhvi said that Officer Hemant Karkare passed away in the November 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks because she cursed him.

A team that was led by police officer Hemant arrested Sadvhi as she was allegedly connected with the Malegaon bomb blast.

While Sadhvi was on her electoral campaigns, the BJP leader said that she is proud that she took part in the demolition of the Babri Mosque, which was built in the 16th century.

In 1992, a mob full of Hindus razed the mosque and claimed that the mosque was built on a place where a temple once stood, but was destroyed by former Muslim Rulers.

Sadvhi Thakur belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party and is fighting for a spot in Bhopal, which is the capital city of Madhya Pradesh.
