Malayalam Playback Singer Radhika Thilak Dies At 45 After Losing Her Fight With Cancer

Renowned Malayalam playback singer Radhika Thilak, who had sung over 60 film songs, passed away in Kochi on Sunday after losing the battle to cancer. She was 45. The death occurred around 8.30 p.m. at a private hospital in the city where she was admitted two days ago due to fever.

She had sung over 70 songs for Malayalam films including ‘Guru’, ‘Ottayal Pattalam’ and ‘Deepasthambham Mahashcharyam’. She was a popular face on Doordarshan in the 90s and was one of the top rated singers on All India Radio.

Mohanlal, Oommen Chandy & Resul Pookutty mourn singer’s untimely death:

Chief Minister of Kerala, Oomen Chandy and Osacar Award winner Resul Pookutty took to Twitter to offer their condolences.

She is survived by husband Suresh and daughter Devika, a fourth standard student. The cremation of the singer will take place at 5.30 pm on Monday at Ravipuram crematorium in Kochi.
