Michael Clarke: World Cup Victory is Dedicated to Our Small Brother Phil Hughes

ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 champions included unofficially their departed dear one Phil Hughes who had inspired them to go through every odd they came across in the tournament. Aussies Skipper and Captain Michael Clarke ended is one-day international career as he claimed earlier honoring his departed teammate Phillip Hughes reminding him during the victory speech at the cricket venue. Michael Clarke played captain innings scoring high score of 74 runs while playing against the New Zealand and lead the team to a glorious path with a victory of seven wickets to win the World Cup final.

Around 91,013 cricket game admirers and cricket lovers at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) who were at the venue stood up and gave him a  standing ovation. Michael Clarke was honored by the audiences with this memorable stunt of standing up all together when he was on the way to the crease and again as he walked off after he chopped on a Matt Henry delivery with only nine runs needed for the win. Michael Clarke stood expressed his emotions and his lover towards the game by touching the black armband on his sleeve and raising his bat to the sky while leaving the field.

Australian team has to undergo through great grief four months ago losing their dear player Phil Hughes after being struck by a cricket ball while batting for South Australia which moved the fellow cricketers in their heart. Michael Clarke said “We played this World Cup with 16 players and tonight is certainly dedicated to our little brother and teammate Phillip Hughes. Hughesy used to party as good as any of them, so I will make sure we drink two at a time – one for Hughesy and one for us” while addressing at the post-match presentation. Michael Clarke also claimed that he would continue to wear a black armband with the initials PH on it for the remainder of his career which drew warm applause from the crowd which was present over there at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and perhaps across the world who were watching him through various mediums.

Michael Clarke as ensured by him and Steve Smith that Australia would win their fifth World Cup title hardly  giving one half-chance before his dismissal and added to this his last one-day international innings was straightforward. Michael Clarke who had played final match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 played a captain innings scoring 74 runs and contributing the 112 runs classy partnership along with the Steve Smith which took past Australia 150 runs.

Michael Clarke seemed to be somewhere a little anxious when he was playing at the final of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 when he was at 14 runs playing a square cut off Henry went just wide of gully for four. His one-day career ended on a high note with second 50 of this World Cup which was a felicitous moment for the Australia this season where Clarke and his boys after the Hughes’s tragic death to the hamstring injury in Adelaide.
