Although here is a champ, Haiden Morgan who was born in a deserted place on a cruise ship more than 100 miles away from the land in the absence of obstetrician, incubator. It took over 14 hours of time to reach the nearest hospital after his birth while he was lucky enough to survive under such baffling circumstances.

Emily Morgan of Ogden, Haiden’s mother said, “The doctors really tell us that he’s a miracle, baby. It’s a miracle he’s here.” Emily Morgan told that she, her husband, and their 3-year-old daughter didn’t expect for the happening of such miracle while boarding Royal Caribbean cruise in August. Their trip on Royal Caribbean cruise in August was approved by her doctor as she was only five months pregnant at the time.

And I said, ‘I can tell these are contractions. I’m going to have this baby. I have to push. I had to push.”

Emily Morgan gave birth to her son at 1:56 a.m. on Aug. 31, 2015 while she was in some danger herself as had to deliver the placenta. She recalls her after birth pleading as “I remember I told them, ‘I want to see my son,’ I want to see him, I don’t care if he’s dead.” She further said to her husband that “I’m not having any more kids. I’m done. I’m not going through this again.” After a few moments doctors said that their son was alive.

Really didn’t think he would Live

Both the exhausted parents moved to another room with courage and geared up together with infant just born son to challenge ahead placing an oxygen mask was strapped to the side of their son’s face. Emily Morgan said “Maybe because they weren’t equipped… and they really didn’t think he would live, and they didn’t want me to be overwhelmed.  I do believe she really felt like I had miscarried and that he wasn’t going to make it.”

She further said “They had told me that once, and he was still alive. It lit a fire. If he can make it so many hours then I will do what I can to help him stay alive. If he wants to be here, we’ll make it so.” Morgan couples devoted themselves to keeping the infant alive. They changed the wet towels of their fragile son with such care that they describe those moments as their lives challenging one.

They covered the head of the infant with the fragile after being ascertained with the loss of heat through his head. Emily Morgan microwaved saline pouches to stuff into his wrappings every 90 minutes as a makeshift incubator. Ship’s captain called down Morgan couples to get ascertained whether their son was alive while his he got his answer when he heard Baby Boy’s weak cry over the call. Emily says’s “He told me they were going as fast as we can, and we were going to get there two hours earlier. And then I thought, well, two hours isn’t really a big difference.”

The captain of the ship who was was speeding the boat to Puerto Rico made it to arrive about two hours early and soon both mother and the child were rushed to the hospital in two ambulances and it was then when the black spots were starting to appear on Haiden’s fingers, indicating his circulation was starting to fade.

Morgan Family is Looking Ahead for Online Donations to Meet Mounting Medical Bills

Both Emily Morgan and their son Haiden are making good progress after being transferred to a children’s hospital in Miami. Royal Caribbean officials did not return a message from The Associated Press seeking comment. It is being reported that Haiden is being fed breast milk through a syringe into a tube in his stomach two tablespoons at a time over the course of 90 minutes.

Family of Morgan’s claim that he’s expected to be hospitalized until his December 19 due date till then they hope that Haiden will be strong enough to be transported to a Utah hospital at the end of October and rejoin his three-year-old sister Chloe, who’s being cared for by her grandparents.

Although the family is bothered with the mounting medical bills and they are accepting online donations to help pay for the cost of the baby’s premature arrival. Doctors say that the main cause of premature birth of Haiden could be  related to dehydration, an elevation change or the differing temperatures at sea.
