Motorola Mobility which is owned by Lenovo officially launched the second generation Moto E in India on Tuesday (10 March). Only 3G based Moto E (2 Gen) model will go on sale today 00:01 am-midnight that’s on 11 March Wednesday for ₹6,999 on Flipkart as per the companies official statements.

Motorola assured via Twitter  that the 4G-LTE based Moto E (2 Gen) will be launched and made available in India soon while the release time-frame wasn’t specified. The naive smartphone in India, 4G variant of Moto E (2 Gen) is compatible only with telecommunication network bands in USA which was unveiled with 3G model in late February. Motorola need to make it compatible with India network bandwidth by testing and re-calibrating modem chip in the new Moto E.

The nurture parent of Motorola Lenovo is testing its own device A7000 in India for early launch this month. There has been no official statement on how many Moto E (2 Gen) units will be made available for the end users while there could have been made necessary arrangement so that there are enough devices in the inventory to meet the demand in India by the Motorola if its past sales are considered.

The out of stock situation did arise even during the Moto G (2 Gen) sales a few months ago and there weren’t any glitches in payment mode after learning lessons from the Moto G (1 Gen) flash sale fiasco in February 2014.
