Mumbai CST, Retention of 26/11 Attacks, Renders Solidarity to Paris Attacks in Dutch Colors

Expressing its solidarity to the Paris attacks during which about Paris attacks have been killed and more than 200 people have been injured, Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) was lit up colors of the French national flag on Sunday night. However, the Mumbai CST has failed to get the French flag in the correct way, as a result, it illuminated in Dutch colors though their intentions were right.

Mumbai CST Goes Wrong in Expressing Its Solidarity to Paris Attacks

People across the globe are stepping ahead in expressing their commonality with the people of Paris by overlaying the colors of the French flag at various instances. Like many perhaps the Mumbai 26/11 retention, CST has also thought of doing a similar job while it went wrong. Railways officers and authorities at the Mumbai CST got it wrong-foot while expressing their commonness to the brutal attacks carried out by the ISIS militants in Paris on Friday.

In compliance with the rules of the French flag, from left to right blue, white and red was supposed to be shown but the railway officers ended up in displaying the colour combination of red, white and blue from top to bottom which is indeed proved out to be the colors of Netherlands’ flag.

A spokesperson for Central Railways reportedly said, “The world stands with Paris at this moment. Since the 26/11 attacks were of a similar nature and the CST station was also targeted then, the Central Railways has decided to stand by France in this moment of grief and express its support. The CST station will be illuminated with the French flag from between 7 pm and 11 p.”
