Two tourists Killed, 10 Injured in Munnar Bus Accident as Bus Falls into Gorge

In a tragic incident, two tourists were killed and 10 injured when the Forest Department bus carrying tourists fell into a gorge near Ancham Mile on Tuesday. The mishap happened around 12 noon near Munnar Eravikulam National Park in Idukki District of Kerala.

Initial reports suggest that the bus lost control due to brake failure that resulted in the accident. Ajesh Mohan, 35, from Perumbavoor has been identified as one of the victims. Another victim is said to be a native of Tamil Nadu.

According to officials, all the injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals. The condition of two injured tourists is said to be critical, including that of Ananthu Raveendran from Kottayam.

It is said that there were as many as 14 passengers inside the bus.  The tourists were returning after a sightseeing visit to Rajamala when the accident happened.
