The Trailer of Sonam Kapoor’s upcoming movie, “Neerja” based on Karachi Hijack of 1986 is out and it looks promising. The movie is the biopic of Neerja Bhanot, who emerged as a hero and saved the lives of many during an airplane hijack.

The movie featuring Sonam Kapoor in the title role will reveal how Neerja Bhanot, a young flight attendant lost her life trying to save the lives of passengers from terrorists on board that hijacked PanAm Flight 73 on September 5, 1986.

“Neerja” official trailer was launched by movie team today at 4PM on Fox Star Studios You Tube channel and social media properties. The trailer looks promising and after watching the trailer, one can’t help but feel curious for how she must have gathered so much courage.

Directed by Ram Madhvani, the movie casts Sonam Kapoor, Shekhar Ravjiani and Shabana Azmi in the lead roles. The theatrical trailer of the film will release on 18th December. The film produced by Atul Kasbekar under the banner of Fox Star Studios is scheduled to release worldwide on February 19th, 2015.

Neerja posthumously became the youngest recipient of India’s highest civilian award for bravery, The Ashok Chakra. She was only 22 when she passed away.
