After the assembly, 41-year-old Gayford said, “I wish I could have captured the startled look on a Japanese delegation inside UN yesterday who walked into a meeting room in the middle of a nappy change. Great yarn for her 21st.”

Clarke Gayford is a known host in New Zealand, he hosts for a fishing show in the country, before that he was a host at a youth-focused music TV channel.

Earlier this year, Prime Minister Jacinda said that she could not imagine asking her partner Gayford to marry him despite being a feminist.
