This incident reflects superstition at play with faith, the dead body of a female born with deformity was worshipped at a village. This incident witnessed in Balrampur village in Uttar Pradesh.

The child was born on this Saturday and the villagers believed that the child was dead within half an hour after the birth was an ‘avatar of the goddess Kali’.

The appearance of the new born baby resembled like the avatar of the goddess. The dead baby’s head and face was black in color where as the skin on rest of the body was fair. This made the villages to believe the baby as the avatar of Kali.

As per the sources in the village, it is stated that hundreds people from far away villages has been visiting Balrampur village in Kanpur district, about 100 km from Lucknow, to have darshan of the dead baby. As soon as the news of the baby’s birth spread in the nearby villages,flocks of people started visiting the parents house. Within no time the place has turned into a’ Virtual Mela’ and people jostled among the crowd to have a glimpse of the dead baby.

Dead Baby Is Worshipped As Avatar Of Kali

Krishna Devi, the mother of the baby said that she had been flooded with curious people, who told her that the child was the avatar of goddess Kali known to get her name from her skin color.

Eyewitnesses said that the baby was showered with currency notes. Bhajans and kirtans (religious songs) were also played at the village in front of the house,” they said.

According the sources, it has been four days the body of the dead baby started decaying and foul smell also emanating from the dead body of the baby.
