A News Channel Declared Shashi Tharoor Dead! Here’s His Kickass Reply
Right from the “Exasperating farrago of distortions”, he has always been the epitome of trolls and memes on social media. It might be his English or the logical things he perpetuates on the rivals, Tharoor is always a winner in this space of wisdom and fun. Well, he is the only hope for the UPS in terms of re-integrating the lost charm. But, this time, his tweet went otherwise, a little-tweaked post on his twitter drew huge criticism.
Earlier, Shashi Tharoor’s picture has come out on social media roping in crazy captions replicating his slang and sense of humor. In the picture he is seen staring at the family portrait of Gandhi family (old picture), the picture has Rajiv Gandhi, Indira Gandhi, their pet dog and Sonia Gandhi.
Then after that, the politician faced the wrath on social media for his absolute wrong-gone tweet on Miss World 2017, for which he later apologized. Now, this time, it is a tweet about him which was posted by popular media house ‘Times Now’, they made a blunder mistake on official Twitter handle.
It all started with the demise of Bollywood’s producer Shashi Kapoor, Times Now went forward with a mix-up, they wrote Shashi Tharoor instead of Shashi Kapoor.
Here’s the tweet:
Following this mistake, the fake news has gone incredibly viral after Madhur Bhandarkar left a condolence message for Shashi Tharoor. Tweeter users even pointed out their mistakes by commenting below.
Later, it is said that Tharoor’s office received a number of condolence calls.

To clear the air, the politician had to put up a tweet saying that reports of his demise, if not exaggerated, are at least premature.
Tharoor’s befitting reply
We’re getting condolence calls in the office! Reports of my demise are, if not exaggerated, at least premature. @TimesNow #ShashiKapoor https://t.co/nbtZGcdQTa

After the series of backlash Times Now has faced, they came forward dropping in apologies. Times Now in their tweet wrote that it was a typographical error and wished him good health.
Times Now’s reply
We apologize for the typographical error on our end. @ShashiTharoor we wish you good health.

It is pretty clear that media houses should be more careful before posting any sensitive stuff. We can’t expect such distasteful errors from the prominent channels like Times Now.
