Passenger Tweets Dirty Window Picture To Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, A Team Arrives Within Minutes And Cleaned Windows
Indian Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has done a good job in serving the passengers with best facilities and taking part in developing and modernizing the Indian Railways. On March 8, when Udit Rajpara from Ahmedabad boarded the Mumbai-Ahmedabad double decker train from Mumbai. He noticed that the glass of the window near his seat was unclean and he couldn’t see through it.
He then remembered the previous stories of Railway Minister responding to passengers problems, he took pictures of those windows and posted it on twitter tagging the Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu and the Divisional Railway Manager of Central Mumbai.

Within few minutes, Udit Rajpara got a reply to his tweet that said that his problem will be addressed at Valsad station as the window cannot be cleaned in a moving train.

Soon, three people from train staff came to him and spoke to him. The next station was Vapi and before we could reach Valsad – his destination, the window was cleaned at Vapi. Eventually, after each and every station post-Vapi, a team of 3-4 people along with supervisor were ready at all stations to clean the window.
“I was impressed by this prompt action. The supervisor at every station politely asked me if I needed any other assistance,” shared 25-year-old Rajpara. Confirming the incident, a senior official from Western Railway Mumbai Central, said, “After observing his tweet, line staff were asked to clean the windows. Also, Ahmedabad division was advised for further action.”
We had seen many times Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has handled the Rail Ministry with micro management. He has managed to resolve public problems on Twitter. But this problem is special because it was as tiny as “Cleaning of Glass Window”. This is a part of ‘Swachh Rail, Swachh Bharat’ which was recently launched.
