PIB Photoshops Modi Inspecting Chennai, Twitter Floods With Memes
Press Information Bureau became a laughing stock on social media when it tweeted a picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducting an aerial survey of the flood-ravaged Chennai city but with “enhanced visual”. In the picture, houses and water were reportedly seen clearly which Twitterati felt could not be possible during an aerial survey. Soon after questions were raised about the authenticity of the picture, PIB took it off from its website.
The PIB was trolled by Twitterati for the faux pas. Here are some of the tweets:
