Cops and the local sources caught a police constable red-handed when he was allegedly with a 35-year-old housewife on Saturday night at Chatrinaka. Local sources briefed that copped police constable as 50-year-old head constable C Madhusudhan Reddy who was working with Chatrinaka police station. M Mahender Reddy Hyderabad police commissioner confiscated the mistaken police head constable to the City Armed Reserve (CAR) and ordered an probe into this issue.

Case Filed Against Accused Head Constable

The charged police head constable C Madhusudhan Reddy serving with the Chatrinaka police station was referred to have been to the house of 35-year-old housewife Lalita at 10 PM.  Mr.Reddy is told to have visited the house of Lalita in the context of her domestic violence (section 498-A of the IPC) case at Sai Baba Nagar in Chatrinaka on being asked to do so. Mean while Chennaiah the husband of Lalita locked the main door from outside when  Madhusudhan Reddy was inside the house and called down cops.

Deputy commissioner of police (DCP), South Zone, V Satyanarayana said “Based on a complaint lodged by Chenaiah, we have registered an adultery case against the head constable under section 497 of the IPC. At the same time, Lalita also lodged a counter-complaint against her husband and a local politician saying that they wrongfully confined her in the house. So, we have registered a case against Chennaiah and another person.”

Alleging domestic harassment, Lalita is believed to have filed an police complaint against her husband and in-laws at the Chatrinaka police station under section 498-A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in the recent times as per the aides of her. Regarding this case filed by her it is being told that head constable used to visit the house of Lalita to serve notices and warrants to the accused. DCP V Satyanarayana said “It appears that on Saturday night, Lalita called the head constable to seek his help in relation to the case. But he should not have gone to the house in the night that too without informing the concerned SI and the inspector.”

A probe has been ordered by the Hyderabad police commissioner following the incident and complaint filed against the accused and the head constable has been attached to the City Armed Reserve.
