Watch: Police Setting Fire To An Auto In Tamilnadu Jallikattu Protest Is Going Viral
After the prolong 6 days peaceful protests for lifting the ban on Jallikattu, the issue turned violent when the Protesters lost their patience and set the beach police station on fire. Various forms of condemning the ban are coming into pictures every day. Despite very few incidents, no violence is observed from the youngsters so far.
The peaceful protest has now deviated from its course and this has caused a lot of disruption in the lives of the locals. But there is something going viral in social media. It’s not about youngsters protesting in the state. A video surfaced on social media which shows police officers setting fire to an auto rickshaw. Yes, you read it right. The law protectors themselves seen firing autos on roads.

The video has since gone viral, with several names from Tamil Nadu’s film fraternity and political circles questioning the action. Actor Kamal Haasan, who supports the demonstration, tweeted the video. Even Kamal Hassan tweeted out the video and raised questions.

This video has caused a lot of outrage and people have come out to oppose this act by the police. Some horrific incidents of police beating up students surfaced on the social media. It all started when someone from the crowd started pelting stones and the police had to resort to a lathi charge.
In a press conference on Monday evening, Chennai Police Commissioner TK Rajendran said, “The videos of police surfacing on social media are morphed. It is a matter of investigation.”
At least 2,000 protestors are still sitting on the Marina Beach insisting that the police have tried to break their unity by announcing that the protest is over.
