Poonam Sinha With Rs. 193 Crores Of Declared Assets Is The Richest Candidate In The 5th Phase Of The Lok Sabha Elections 2019

According to the ADR (Association for Democratic Reforms) and the NEW (National Election Watch) the wife of Shatrughan Sinha, Poonam Sinha is the richest candidate in the 5th phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections with having Rs. 193 crores of declared assets, the is a candidate from the Samajwadi Party from Lucknow.

Poonam Sinha is the richest candidate with Rs. 193 cores of declared assets and is followed by Vijay Kumar Mishra Pragatisheel from the Samajwadi Party with over Rs. 177 crores of declared assets. The third richest is Hazaribagh Jayant Sinha from the BJP with over Rs. 77 crores of declared assets.

According to the ADR and NEW, out of the 668 candidates who are taking part of the fifth phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, 184 have assets that are worth Rs. 1 crores. Most of them are from the BJP.

The Association for Democratic Reforms said, “Six candidates have not been analyzed due to unavailability of their properly scanned and complete affidavits, till the time of making this report.”

The ADR added, “Among the major parties, 38 of the 48 BJP candidates, 32 of the 45 Congress candidates, 17 of the 33 BSP candidates, 8 of the 9 SP candidates and 31 of the 252 independent candidates have declared assets more than Rs 1 crore.”

The Association for Democratic Reforms said that the average of the declared assets in the 5th phase of the elections is Rs. 2.57 crores.

The association said, “Among the major parties, 48 BJP candidates have average assets of Rs 6.91 crore, 45 Congress candidates have average assets of Rs 8.74 crore, 33 BSP candidates have average assets of Rs 3.32 crore, and 9 SP candidates have average assets worth Rs 31.57 crore.”
