This is a video which is going viral social media in which a python suddenly attacked a Chinese tourist at a snake show. The incident took place in the resort island of Phuket in Thailand. As everyone are kissing and taking photographs of the snake, this Chinese tourist also did the same which resulted in a dangerous stunt.

The python turned to bite the 29-year-old woman identified as Jin Jing on the nose and didn’t let go for several seconds. Soon the girl was rushed to the hospital. She required several stitches on her nose. She is now recovering from the injury. Thai company that run snake shows has paid$3,200 in damages to the victim.

As reticulated pythons do not have poisonous venom, the victim survived from death. The video clip posted online shows two men during a show calmly holding the python.

Animal welfare groups say the conditions for snakes, elephants, monkeys and crocodiles in Thai shows are inhumane. Animals are often kept in poor conditions and paraded around in front of spectators. In one performance, orangutans are made to box each other.
